Band Booster Calendar Marks 10 Years
SUNSHINE/TALKEETNA/TRAPPER CREEK/WILLOW – In communities the size of
ours, it's public knowledge that tomorrow is Mr. and Mrs. Smith's 25th anniversary, and
that John and Mary both have birthdays they're celebrating. No one outside the
immediate circle of relatives and close friends would know such important dates, but in
our communities, we have an opportunity to enjoy celebrating along with our neighbors
and wishing them 'all the best' on their special days by purchasing the Susitna Valley Jr.
/Sr. High School Music Booster's "Community Birthday Calendar."
This year marks the 10th anniversary of its publication, and this year there will be a
great new format. Along with traditional advertising space, there will also be an
opportunity to have a directory listing. The new style format will feature flip-up pages;
with the same advertisements and directory listings being printed on each page. Now,
instead of tossing out the monthly information when a month passes, it will be easy for
you to save the special dates on into the following year. Our new calendar will now
feature photos of our young musicians and community sites on each page.
Su Valley Highschool music students will be contacting you for orders and advertising
very soon. The funds raised will help support music scholarships and a music trip for
all high school musicians in the coming years.
If you are not contacted and wish to have your birthday and anniversary listed on the
"Susitna Valley Community Birthday Calendar", you may leave a message for
band/chorus instructor, Ms. Shauna Kron at 733-9323. Orders can be placed at both the
High School and Elementary School offices, and all orders are due by May 10, 2009 to
be included in the August publication. Please support our dedicated musicians from
