New Visitor Center Opens in Denali
Crowds were out, as was the mountain, when the National Park Service dedicated the
Eielson Visitors Center inside Denali National Park and Preserve. The dedication
took place at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 12.

We have a standing policy against running ribbon-cutting photos,
but who can resist one with a backdrop like this?
The visitors center features many displays to help people
understand the park and preserve's geography and wild
inhabitants.
