Commemoration in
Talkeetna Cemetery
Wreaths were laid,
taps played softly
and the officer of the
day read a roll call of

residents gathered
May 26 for VFW Post
3836's annual event.
A 21-gun salute
followed the brief but
emotional ceremony.
The post then
hosted the
community to a
delicious Memorial
